Welcome to my Blog for ELED100. My name is Lindsay and I am a student at Hofstra University. I am double majoring in Early Childhood Education and Spanish. I spent last semester abroad in Granada, Spain. I highly recommend that everyone take advantage of any opportunity to study abroad, it really is a remarkable experience. I am not bilingual though I like to think I am proficient in Spanish. Though I do not want to be a Spanish teacher in the future, I do hope work with students and families who speak Spanish and to continue with the language.

I have always loved working with kids. I have babysat since I was eleven years old and have helped out in second grade and kindergarten classes as well. I have a number of younger cousins (two of which are in the picture above) and I enjoy every minute I get to spend with them. My goal is to be a kindergarten teacher and start kids off with a love of learning.
